Choosing & Taking Care of Your Stockings

By definition, the term “hosiery” denotes any leg wear or garments worn directly on the feet and legs. Oftentimes, hosiery garments are made by knitting methods. Today, hosiery can be used to denote anything worn over the feet and legs including stockings, tights, pantyhose, leggings, and leg warmers. Unfortunately, even though more and more women are discovering the beauty of hosiery garments, very few are well aware of how to choose the right one and how to take care of it.

  1. If you would be wearing your stockings on a regular basis, opt for those made from 15% lycra or spandex and try to keep away from sheer ones. Keep in mind that the latter will have a higher probability for runs.
  2. Make sure that you know your size. going for the wrong size could make you feel uncomfortable and might result to your stockings rolling down every now and then.
  3. Keep a good stock of stockings and pantyhose in different materials to suit your various clothes as well as the various events that you might be attending. Many women swear by keeping stockings and pantyhose inside the refrigerator.
  4. Take your time when putting on or taking off your hosiery garments in order to prevent any snags. When taking them off, make sure that you do not pull them off from the toes. Start at the other end and slowly roll them down using your palms.
  5. Should your stockings get a run, you can use a nail polish as a first-aid. However, this does not mean that you can be careless with your stockings. Keep in mind that stockings with nail polish are never sexy.

Til next time…flaunt on!

Body Stocking Do’s and Don’ts

One piece of sexy lingerie that any women shouldn’t be without is body stocking. However, just going out and buying the first one that you come across is rarely a good idea so we’ve come up with a list of  some body stocking do’s and don’ts to guide you:

  • When choosing colors, consider your body type. If you are on the thin side, go for white since white can make you look larger. On the other hand, if you are on the heavy side, you might want to go for black body stockings. If you have been blessed with an hourglass figure, then you can safely go for red body stockings
  • Better skip on those crotchless and peek-a-boo body stockings except if you are going out on a hot date. Going crotchless  and wearing peek-a-boos can be very uncomfortable.
  • Be careful when buying body stockings that come with designs. Make sure that, when you do buy them, they would emphasize your assets and not put your man’s attention to some place else.

So, till next time…Flaunt On!
