Lingerie Me Not

Oftentimes, when people talk about lingerie, the presumption is always that lingerie should be something worn underneath what you would wear on a regular day. Not man people are aware that you can actually wear certain lingerie types as your main piece of clothing.

  1. Your lace camisole can be worn as a primary office wear when partnered with a blazer or a jacket. The same goes for your chemise, bustier, and corset. You just need to make sure that you keep the jacket or blazer buttoned up.
  2. Combining your bra or camisole or chemise with a sheer blouse or jacket can also be sexy and stylish. Keep in mind, however, that your lingerie should not stand out. This can be done by ensuring that your jacket is of the same shade as your lingerie.
  3. If you need to wear very short skirt, partner it with black stockings or tights. This would tone down the look of your skirt without losing the sexy-ness.
  4. Have a sheer blouse that just looks to plain? Spice it up with a corset! Wear the corset on top of your blouse and, voila! You have an office attire that is stylish and not too sexy.
  5. If you’ve got a conservative looking babydoll that ends way past your waist, then you can pair this with a skinny jeans and some high heels.

So, are you ready to flaunt your stuff at the office?

Till next time, flaunt on!

Basic Tips on Wearing Corsets

If there’s one thing that has not changed over the years when it comes to sexy lingerie, it is the corset. Although many of the corsets today are not really meant to have a lasting effect on the shape of the wearer’s body, they still have the lacing and/ or boning feature of conventional corsets.

Most people get confused between corsets and bustiers. The former, actually, is usually made of sturdy material and does not bow out.

If you are thinking of getting a corset, here are some pointers that you might want to keep in mind:

  • Since tightly laced corsets would not allow you to bend over easily, you might want to go for knee high stockings rather than pantyhoses
  • If you are going to wear something underneath your corset, make sure that it is made from light material. Otherwise, you might have difficulty breathing.
  • Go for fuller skirts if you want to create an hourglass figure over straight skirts. The latter tends to create a slimming effect.
  • Check the insides of a corset. There should be smooth finishing as any sloppy work can get imprinted on your skin.
  • Make sure that you try on a corset before you buy it. Bring along a friend with you to help you lace up the corset. This would give you an idea whether to buy a particular corset or not.

So, ready to have your own corset?

Flaunt on!

Getting That Kate Perry Look

Yes, I admit it. I am a fan of Kate Perry. She might not look glammed up always but she sure knows how to dress. If you are a Kate Perry fan just like me and you would like to get her look, here are some tips to keep in mind:

  1. Her look stems from the 40’s and the 50’s so going for sexy dresses that show a bit of your cleavage is a good move.
  2. Go for large accessories – wide belts, large hair accessories, and classic parasols should do the trick.
  3. Go for dresses that accentuate your waits. If you are having a hard time with this one, you can go for corsets which you can match with short skirt and floral belt.
  4. To get Kate Perry’s baby-doll eyes, put on a pair of fake eyelashes on your upper lash line. You can also put heavy layers of mascara coat to your lashes to open your eyes up.
  5. Of course, don’t forget your pumps in matching bright colors!

There you have it, the Kate Perry look. Now all you have to do is flaunt on!

Sexy Types of Lingerie

When one talks about lingerie, the first thing that comes to mind is bras and panties. In truth, sexy lingerie are more than that and you need to familiarize yourself with the different terms to be sure that you are getting what you want:

  • Baby Doll – a short gown that features a built-in bra-like cups and a flowing skirt that usually ends at the thigh area. It is usually made of sheer materials like silk or nylon.
  • Teddy – looks like a one-piece swimsuit. The difference, however, lies in the fact that teddys are made of lace, are low-cut and often has a thong back.
  • Bustier – a sexy strapless bra that extends up to the waist and features a garter strap. It usually is made of silk or any shiny material.
  • Camisole – a short top that ends at the waist. It can be worn under a sweater or an open jacket.
  • Chemise – as opposed to the camisole, the chemise ends somewhere above the knees. It usually has spaghetti-like straps that can be adjusted to suit your body length.
  • Corset – the unique feature of corsets is their stiffness and tight fit. The main idea behind corsets is to pinch the waist and lift the breasts in order to create the perfect hourglass figure. It can be adjusted by tying the laces at the back tighter or more loosely.

Now that you know the different types of sexy lingerie, you can now shop online safely.

Fitting A Corset

The corset might have been around for quite sometime but they sure haven’t gone out of style. Today, corsets can be worn under a formal dress as well as on top of your favorite shirt. However, you need to keep the following things in mind if you would like to find just the right corset:

  • Your first move would be to take the measure of your natural waistline. This is the point where your abdomen dips inward and is found somewhere below your breasts.
  • With your arms parallel to the floor, have someone measure around the biggest part of your bust area. Write this down.
  • Measure the part of your hips where you would like your corset to end. The trick here is to sit down to ensure that you can still comfortably move without moving the tape measure.
  • Once you have a corset made based on your measurements, do not be afraid to try it on. Have a friend lace you up with your hands raised up. You should aim for a standard reduction of about 3 to 4 inches from your waist. Anything more than that is not recommended.
  • If it is your first time to wear a corset, make sure that you loosen them up a little bit to ensure that you can breathe easily. You might also want to go for corsets made from softer clothes such as velvet.

So, till next time, flaunt on!

Looking Sexy In A Plus-Size

Believe it or not, sexy-ness has nothing to do with your body size. It’s all about how you carry yourself and how you feel about yourself. If you are a plus size, however, this may seem to be a bit hard to do so we’ve come up with some tips on how you can be sexy even if you are a plus size:

  1. Make sure that you have at least a well-fitting bra and a matching panty. As much as possible, have a separate bra and panty for office work and for flaunting on. Pick a set for the former based on how easily it will allow you to move around. For the latter, pick a set that accentuated your assets. If you are well endowed, go for bras that offer support and highlights your cleavage.
  2. Get a pair of hosiery that fits your legs and thighs. Go for black as this color has been proven to provide a slimming effect.
  3. If you happen to have the right curves, invest in some good teddies and corsets. These lingerie can help give the form that your body needs.
  4. Once you are already comfortable with wearing teddies and corsets, you can move on to buying peek-a-boos and sheer baby dolls. Remember to get one that highlights the right curves. Baby dolls are great for those that have big hips.
  5. Now, put on your high heels and flaunt on!

Sexy History

Books keep me busy most of the time. Totally unexpected of me, I know, but I really love reading especially about those English women and noblemen. ..which led me to wonder, how did those people come up with the idea of a corset?

A few researches here and there led me to the history of corset. The idea of corsets originally came from the ancient Greeks. French ladies during the 13th and 14th century also wore some type of corset that accentuated their waistline and pushed up their breasts giving them a fuller look.

The early corsets were made of wood and whale bone and were very, very uncomfortable to wear. The French Revolution almost made the corset a forgotten part of history (corset being associated with aristocracy) but the 19th century saw its spirited comeback.

Today, corsets are worn for a variety of reasons – to add shape, to look sexier, to make a fashion statement (as in the case of people who go for the Gothic look). They are also not as uncomfortable as they used to be.

bustier

If you would like to try one, you can start with lace bustier with under wire cups. Once you’ve got the hang of it, you can move on to those made of faux leather.

Till next time…Flaunt On!
